Featuring interviews with everyone from G. Gor= don Liddy to the late Howard Zinn, American Feud uses expert and man-on= -the-street interviews, archival film and photos, maps, quotes, colorfu= l graphics, music, and a little donkey and elephant to tell its story.= =C2=A0 As one commentator wrote of the film, "This wonderful talkumenta= ry is a=C2=A0scrupulously non-partisan, yet tough-minded celebration of= democracy and a delightfully fiendish counterattack on the cant=C2=A0d= elivered from=C2=A0sides of the political spectrum.=C2=A0 What's most s= triking about the film is how the better souls on both the left and rig= ht=C2=A0emerge as=C2=A0kindred spirits.=C2=A0 Frequently hilarious, alw= ays honest, and very highly recommended!" Billing the film as an "entir= e political science course in 90 minutes," Hall and Fary screened the f= ilm at a Docs In Progress work-in-progress screening in 2006 and comple= ted the film in 2007.=C2=A0 They will discuss not only the making of th= e film but how they have gone about self-distributing and marketing the= film, particularly to academic institutions and libraries.=0D=0A=0D=0A=C2=A0=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A About the Filmmakers=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0ARichard Hall=E2=80=99s previous independent work includes the 12 minute fil= m Southwest which screened at the 1992 New York Film Festival. =C2=A0He= also produced and directed the documentary The Fall of the Elephant: 1= 992 Republican National Convention which screened at the 1993 New York = Independent Film & Video Festival and the Brussels, Belgium Internation= al Film & Video Festival. =C2=A0Richard has been a videojournalist for = C-SPAN2=E2=80=99s Book TV since its inception in 1998. =C2=A0=C2=A0He h= as worked at the public affairs network since 1991.
