Docs In Progress^® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering independent documentary filmmakers. We do this through a variety of programs and services, including work-in-progress screenings, training classes, professional development workshops, private consultations, and an e-newsletter and blog.

We help experienced and aspiring documentary filmmakers make better films by giving them the tools to foster and improve their skills at all stages of the filmmaking process. Whether you need help turning an idea into a proposal, a proposal into funding, raw footage into a cohesive story, or a rough cut into a masterpiece, Docs In Progress^® can help.

Note: Due to the snowstorm, the Docs In Progress office is currently closed, although we are checking voicemail messages and can access e-mail as well.  Tuesday night activities (the Documentary Appreciation Salon and the Final Cut class) have been cancelled.  The instructor for Final Cut has contacted all the participants directly about arranging a makeup date.  A new date for the Appreciation Salon will be announced soon.
