THE INVOICE presents the American government’s record of its treatment of black Americans.

Viewers will come to understand how the theft of black wealth became a prevailing theme of
American life through policies that caused great harm to blacks and a deep wound to the soul of America. Restitution is part of the settlement of a centuries-old debt. The episodes will integrate interviews with influential experts shot on location, archival footage, a variety of music, unique animated sequences, and elements of comedy.
Storytelling is the primary style of presentation. Viewers will hear from extraordinary scholars, teachers, authors, actors, musicians, and comedians delivering rich, intelligent appraisals of America’s fundamental flaw–black/white wealth disparities.
Through public broadcast, streaming, and private screenings, THE INVOICE will help both black and white Americans define the vision and strategies for ending black/white wealth disparities through restitution and systemic change. Our nation cannot afford to wait more generations for this settlement.
TruDat Productions, creators of THE INVOICE, raised $27,000 to produce an extended trailer, due for completion in August 2025. It will be the primary tool to sell this six-part series to buyers across the spectrum of media.
