Capacity-building programs help nonprofits learn best practices in using documentary storytelling to communicate their mission, call to action, or to raise critical funding. In the past, these programs have included Lights! Camera IMPACT! seminars for nonprofits on how to improve marketing and development efforts through documentary-style video and hands-on classes for nonprofit staff to gain skills in video production.
Currently we offer scholarships to nonprofit professionals to take our Intro to Documentary Production class at a partially-subsidized fee. Find out more.
We also offer fee-for-service, customized video production training classes for nonprofits who wish to train staff in how to adopt documentary-style techniques to nonprofit videos. (If interested, please contact our Executive Director Erica Ginsberg at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-789-2797).
There are also opportunities for nonprofits to be profiled by Docs In Progress students as part of our Community Stories.
