Our Food Supply: A Growing Crisis

Through interviews with farmers, gardeners, educators, and business owners in the Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area, this film shows the importance of and increasing need for a local food supply and some of the challenges faced in building a local food supply system. Through the narrative, it becomes clear that food insecurity (limited or uncertain access to adequate food) is a potential threat to us all. A variety of solutions are presented which demonstrate that food security is possible, starting now, and into the future to divert a worsening crisis.
