As we mentioned in an earlier blog announcement, Docs In Progress Executive Director begins her journey next week.  She is looking forward to meeting with organizational counterparts and individual documentary filmmakers in at least five cities en route to the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture "Leading Creatively" Conference in Minneapolis.

So far, Erica has confirmed meetings with Pittsburgh Filmmakers, the Cleveland Film Society, Chicago Filmmakers, Kartemquin Films (Chicago), 371 Productions (Milwaukee), as well as meetings with a number of individual documentary filmmakers.  She is interested in finding out what is at the heart of film communities outside of the large coastal cities and will be blogging about the journey.
