Archival Lab

Description: The Archival Research Lab is offered as a hands-on workshop that accompanies Archival Research 101. During the Lab the instructor will lead a brief review of archival research and clearance practices. Then the students will break out into small groups to select an archival research topic. Groups will have 45 minutes to identify their topic and find archives to obtain archival media. Groups will identify the types of media they can obtain from the archives, what types are permissions are required, and what the process is to obtain media. After 45 minutes teams will come back to the class to discuss their findings with the instructor.
