Joanna is a filmmaker focused on storytelling that highlights our connection to each other and the Earth. She works with Sunlight Media Collective, editing and co-directing projects on Wabanaki Tribal sovereignty and environmental stewardship, including This River is Our Relative. She has contributed to award-winning films and PBS projects, and lives in southwestern Colorado.

The Power of Storytelling is an exploration of how storytelling shapes our lives, values, and relationships—using animation and interviews to show how stories can connect, heal, inspire, and deepen our ties to one another and the natural world.
