Since 2013, the Docs In Progress [Legacy] Fellowship provides selected filmmakers monthly facilitated meetings.  Together they share progress in their projects and receive feedback on issues related to the documentary landscape, work/life balance, and the creative process.  In 2020, Docs In Progress moved the Fellowship Program to a virtual world, opening the program to a more diverse set of filmmakers.

Starting in 2023, the now Legacy Fellowship has been refocused to serve those filmmakers who already have a story treatment and are about to embark on principal photography and/or ready for post production.
