ManSee Kong is a New York City–based filmmaker creating work inspired by grassroots movements for social change. She has contributed to films on PBS, Netflix, and exhibited at institutions like MoMA. She co-founded Chinatown Art Brigade and holds an MFA in Film from NYU.

What Happened to Danny follows the aftermath of the suspicious death of Chinese American soldier Danny Chen in Afghanistan, as his family and New York’s Chinatown community demand answers—exposing racial abuse in the military and fighting to keep his memory and the call for justice alive.
