Teaches Summer Teen Filmmaking Workshop (Grades 7-8)

Phil is originally from Long Island, New York and is a 2nd year MFA Candidate in Film and Media Arts at American University. His love for 80s tv and science fiction influenced his passion for storytelling at a young age. Although writing visible characters on screen is impactful, the power to change culture lies behind the camera, which led Phil to study Film and Documentary production at American University. Phil's desire for the future is to tell compelling, impactful stories where all cultures and walks of life can be seen and heard.  

Phil's teaching experience includes after school programs in video production for Teens at the library in Silver Spring, MD.

His most recent short documentary, "East of the River", is making festival rounds and just won best short documentary at the DC Independent Film Festival and at the Bethesda Film Fest 2023.
