Working with a composer
Description: This workshop is intended for anyone who would like to gain an understanding of the basics of film soundtracks and how to collaborate with a film composer. It covers the various soundtrack applications, useful terminology, and best practices for a positive and creative working relationship between filmmaker, editor, and composer. It covers the history and the musical nature of the soundtrack. Music for opening and ending credits, montages, and action. Technical terms for film and music collaboration, budgeting for working with composers, instrumentalists, and vocalists. Useful for filmmakers, post-production supervisors, and aspiring film composers.
