Community Stories Film Festival 2026 - Village Reels

Join us for a screening of Village Reels, short documentaries produced in our intergenerational flagship program.

Now in its 16th year presented by Docs In Progress, the Community Stories Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing local stories by local filmmakers.

A celebration of independent documentary filmmaking, Community Stories unites filmmakers, cinephiles, and community members for three days of screenings, filmmaker Q&As, and conversations.

VILLAGE REELS, a Docs In Progress Young Artists’ Program, pairs high school students with 55+ villagers to create short videos about the life experiences of the villagers.
