Documentary Development Lab: Rework, Reshoot, Refine

Advanced Doc Production & Editing Using Your Footage - 5 Saturdays

DATES

10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15 | 5 Saturdays from 10 am - 4pm

You've started your story. Now, it's time to reshape it into something more substantial.

This 5-week course is for filmmakers who already have footage but need help refining their story, planning reshoots, or reshaping their edits. Whether you're continuing a project from our Intro to Documentary Production course or returning to an unfinished idea, this workshop gives you space to rethink, rebuild, and re-engage with your documentary.

In this lab-style environment, you'll work on your project with guidance from a lead instructor, technical support in Adobe Premiere Pro, and consistent feedback from peers. You'll also learn how to fill in gaps using additional footage, interviews, or creative visual assets such as photography, animation, or found materials.

This course is ideal for filmmakers who hit common roadblocks in their first round of production and want structured support to make a second pass at work — this time, with intention and community behind them.
