Documentary Roundtable: Trailer Night

Trailer Night is an opportunity to meet others in the documentary community and to provide feedback to several filmmakers on their trailers. Trailer Night is being moderated by Dawne Langford, an Emmy-nominated filmmaker and producer focused on amplifying underrepresented stories. Her latest film, WHO KILLED ALEX ODEH, premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Journalistic Excellence. Her past work includes CHECK IT, KANDAHAR JOURNALS, FINDING JOSEPH I, and THE BODY POLITIC (POV/PBS, 2024, Emmy-nominated). She is a Sundance Producers Lab Fellow (2023), Sundance + Adobe Women to Watch Fellow (2024), and a 2025 Dear Producer mentee, and received the 2026 Sundance Institute | Amazon MGM Studios Producers Award for Nonfiction Film.

The Documentary Roundtable/Trailer Night is a regular program co-hosted by Docs In Progress and Women in Film and Video of Washington DC that alternates most months. You will receive the Zoom link one day before the event. We are looking forward to meeting you there!
