Low Cost-High Impact Marketing

In this one-day course intensive, students will be exposed to a number of low cost, high impact online advertising, marketing, and social media tactics that any small or independent filmmaker can use to draw awareness and visibility of their film.

Teaching Artist: Melissa Daoulas 

Melissa Daoulas is a seasoned writer, producer, and educator with almost a decade of experience in streaming platforms and television networks. She has taught film and television marketing at The American University, and has served as an educator for magnet arts programs in Maryland.

Melissa started her career with National Geographic in post-production, and has produced under Discovery's TLC Network, representing some of the network's biggest social media brands. Now the owner and founder of Melissa’s Creative Media, LLC, she creates and develops social media and brand marketing strategies for small businesses.

With a Master of Arts degree in Producing Film, Television, and Video from American University, Melissa is an active member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's most prestigious honor society.
