Teen Summer Filmmaking Workshop (Session 2)
One-week Teen Summer Filmmaking Workshop at Docs In Progress
In this one week fun and educational filmmaking workshop for ages 13 (or entering 7th grade)-17, participants work in small teams to plan, shoot, and edit short documentary videos filmed in and around downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. Meets in person.
Participants will be provided access to and training with video cameras and editing equipment. Final projects will be shown in a mini-festival for family and friends on the last day of the camp, videos will be uploaded to YouTube, and may also be featured at the Community Stories Film Festival 2024. The program takes place from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm each weekday.
We have a refrigerator for participants to store their lunches. We will also provide water and nut-free snacks. The workshop is capped at 10 students.
The safety of students and staff remains the top priority for Docs In Progress. Docs In Progress follows the safety measures of the MCPS guidelines.
LOCATION:
Docs In Progress is located on the ground level, of the Alexander House. The entrance of Docs In Progress is on Apple Ave.
