Synopsis: As a neighbor to the Woodner building, I've always heard it described as a city within a city. With over 2,000 residents, it's DC's largest apartment building and a critical piece of affordable housing in its neighborhood. Since the COVID-19 emergency ended, more than 200 evictions have been filed by the Woodner building and led to the creation of the Woodner Tenants Union (WTU), This documentary aims to record an exceptional example of community organizing in DC.

I will follow the footsteps of my family’s journey from a small Polish town from September 1939 until November 1942 and then to Warsaw where they lived on the Aryan side of the Warsaw ghetto until January 1945.

In 2024, Playland Skate Center will celebrate its 50-year anniversary and highlight the evolution of Playland Skate Center, as well as the evolution of Austin during this 50-year time span.
